People use this expression so often but I never really got the picture, I was always the bravest and most out spoken, I didn’t have a shy bone in my body so having cold feet was far from my nature.
Today I married the most beautiful girl in the world, my best friend and everything is perfect. Yesterday was terrible for me though, I was so scared I couldn’t even think straight.
Everything till that point had been wonderful, better than I hoped, but my heart started racing and I couldn’t stop sweating and panicking.
What if my marriage doesn’t work? What if she stops loving me after a while? What if I’m not a good husband to her? A million questions ran through my head.
People said it was only normal and it’s good to worry so you made an effort to do the right thing but I couldn’t seem to focus.
I finally made it to the alter and the moment I saw her walking down the aisle towards me, she smiled and all my fears and doubts faded away and I knew from that moment on that everything was going to be fine.
