It was a dark night and as usual, I overstayed at the library. It was already pretty dark out before I headed home so I didn’t notice the clouds gathering.
As I was halfway home, it began to pour and I had to rub and take shelter in a nearby coffee shop and there he was, the most beautiful creature I had ever seen.
I had never been one that was drawn to fine men but he was simply mesmerizing. So, I took my seat and ordered coffee when he walks up to me and smiles and asks if he could join me.
Sure, I said yes and we talked and talked for hours, I didn’t even notice when the rain stopped. Finally, I looked around and noticed we were the only ones left and the store was closing. We said our goodbyes and I went home feeling really excited and happy.
In the morning it felt like a dream but my soaked clothes and shoes from the night before were proof that he was real.
It was then I realized that I never even got his name or number, I had gotten so carried away. Its been over a year and I pass by the coffee shop every day hoping to see him, but I haven’t still. My mysterious perfection had slipped away.
