I just couldn’t take it anymore, everything hurt, not physically but emotionally. I was drained, tired of pretending to be strong and smiling, it was in the middle of a track and I just burst into tears.
Tears that hadn’t been shed since the heartache began. All I felt was emptiness inside, before then I had never been able to admit it to myself or anyone else.
I was lonely, I needed someone to love. I was tired of being the odd one out, the lone ranger, the independent woman. I wanted and needed to be able to depend on another.
I needed someone of my own and until then, I decided to feel no shame in admitting that I was lonely.
